What are shampoo and conditioner bars?
Shampoo and conditioner bars are the solid form of liquid shampoo and conditioner, although shampoo and conditioner bars typically contain more concentrated, nourishing ingredients since they do not need to be watered down. Liquid shampoo and conditioner contain up to 80% water, so not only are you paying for a plastic bottle, you're also paying for water!
Are shampoo bars the same as soap?
Although Flora Flora uses cleansing agents in their shampoo bars, the ingredients are very different from soap. There is no lye used in their shampoo bars, allowing for a much gentler cleanse that is PH balanced for you hair and skin.
How do you use shampoo and conditioner bars?
Flora Flora bars are designed to be easy to grip with wet hands. We like to gently massage the shampoo bar directly onto our wet scalp and then finish the lather with our hands, but you can also create a creamy lather in your wet hands first and then apply to your scalp. For the conditioner bar, we prefer to rub the product into our hands and then apply to the ends of our strands, but you can also rub the bar directly into your hair.
How do I choose the right shampoo bar for me?
You should choose your shampoo based on your current scalp and hair condition. For example, if you have a dry scalp and hair, you'd choose the Hydrating shampoo bar. If you have dandruff and dry hair, we'd suggest using the Hydrating shampoo bar for most of your washes and add in the Scalp Soothe shampoo bar once a week.
What does "botanical ingredients" mean?
Flora Flora uses all naturally derived ingredients that are biodegradable and safe for our health. They use extracts of rosemary, chamomile, rose hip, snow mushroom, willow bark, lycopene from tomatoes and much more, botanical essential oils for fragrance, and even cleansing agents (surfactants) and preservatives that are all derived from plants.
